Community Health Nursing

A Community Health Nurse Practitioner works outside of the traditional hospital setting, usually within a specific community or with a public health agency or organization. Community Health NPs focus primarily on providing accessible health care to vulnerable. A Community Health NP must be skilled in health promotion/disease prevention, case management, program management, strategic planning, policy development, and must be able to work comfortably with culturally diverse populations.
