At Brown Mackie College, you don’t need to wait for a traditional “Fall Start.” Because our students aren’t always living “traditional” lives we offer new starts each month with day or evening classes that fit your schedule. Each class lasts one month. There’s no need to divide your time and energy between coursework and exams for multiple courses. Brown Mackie College — Northern Kentucky is located in Fort Mitchell, a small, suburban city that serves as a bedroom community for the nearby metropolitan Cincinnati area. With a population of less than 10,000 and a size of 5 square miles, Forth Mitchell's crime rate is extremely low and the median age of 36 makes it an attractive area for young professionals and students.
So many things about Fort Mitchell are ideal, including its accessible location on Interstates 71 and 75. Fort Mitchell has one of the top-rated school districts in the state. It is also known for its tree-lined streets where you'll find beautiful homes dating back to the turn of the 20th century. Newer homes are also plentiful, although they have been carefully crafted to reflect the city's unique history and appearance. Despite the vast appeal of Fort Mitchell, housing prices have remained reasonable.
While Fort Mitchell is small and secluded, students still find amenities including a strip mall, city park, and a variety of businesses. And whatever Brown Mackie College — Northern Kentucky students can't find here, they can find only a few minutes away in downtown Cincinnati.
Associate's - Occupational Therapy Assistant
The Occupational Therapy Assistant program prepares graduates for entry-level employment, working under the direction of an occupational therapist. Students are trained to administer occupational therapy treatments to individuals who have lost functional abilities due to illness, injury, or disease. Coursework combines lecture, laboratory, and clinical experiences. General Education elements of the program enhance students' communication and problem-solving skills to enhance their effectiveness in the occupational therapy profession.
The program prepares the graduate for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Certification Examination for Occupational Therapy Assistants. Diploma - Practical Nursing
The Diploma program in Practical Nursing balances classroom instruction with clinical experience. Students receive a solid foundation in the areas of:
