The College of Mount Saint Vincent is a four-year co-educational, liberal arts college located in Riverdale, New York. Overlooking the Hudson River, its beautiful 70-acre campus is just minutes from midtown New York City and all the excitement and opportunities it affords. Founded in 1847 by the Sisters of Charity, Mount Saint Vincent is a private, independent institution in the Catholic tradition.
Today, the co-educational College provides 1,500 full-time and part-time students, representing various religious, racial and ethnic backgrounds an excellent education. Small classes, the personal attention of a 13:1 student-faculty ratio and a faculty with both academic credentials and professional experience, all provide students with an exceptional learning environment.
The College of Mount Saint Vincent also has a location in Manhattan. The Mid-Manhattan site offers the BS in Nursing to transfer students with 60 credits or for students seeking a second bachelor's degree. The College of Mount Saint Vincent, Department of Nursing offers Master's degrees in the following concentrations:
Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible for certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in New York State, through the American Nurse Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
RNs with a baccalaureate in a major other than nursing may be enrolled in the Graduate Nursing Program.
Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible for certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in New York State, through the American Nurse Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
This 36-credit master's degree can be completed in two years of full-time study. Upon completion of the program, graduates are prepared for roles in middle management positions.
Upon completion of the program, graduates are prepared for teaching positions in nursing programs and staff development.
