Master of Science in NursingBack to topCareer opportunities for nurses with master's degrees are on the rise as the health care industry continues to grow and our population ages. By getting your master's degree in nursing, you open up an array of specialized areas in which you can practice as a professional nurse. Edgewood College's Master of Science in Nursing is a 36-credit program designed to develop nurses into leaders with advanced knowledge, humanistic values and the ability to contribute to the changing health care environment. Edgewood College is pleased to offer two concentration areas within the Master's in Nursing program:
Our courses are taught by academically and professionally qualified faculty accomplished in their fields of expertise. The average class size is 15 students, ensuring a "hands-on" experience. You can choose to begin your coursework fall, spring or summer session. Courses are offered on evenings and weekends to accommodate your busy schedules. The Edgewood College Master of Science in Nursing degree is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing. Post-Master's Certificate in NursingBack to topEdgewood College offers Post-Master's Graduate Certificates in two concentrations – Nursing Education and Nursing Administration. The certificate program is designed for registered nurses who have already completed a master's degree and desire to expand their professional qualifications into either of these two concentrations. Both programs offer a cohesive selection of graduate courses designed to offer theoretical knowledge, critical thinking skills and successful application in a practicum setting for individuals who are previously prepared at the master's or doctoral level. Graduates are prepared in areas to support success in becoming certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Master of Science in Nursing program at Edgewood College is approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing.
