We foster the search for human and ethical alternatives to solve contemporary nursing and health care problems through applied clinical research.
Bachelor of Science in NursingBack to topThe BSN curriculum at USF combines a foundation of liberal arts education with nursing classroom and laboratory training. Your coursework is immediately put to use through extensive clinical experiences in a number of different settings in the Bay Area, from large teaching/research hospitals to community clinics with state-of-the-art facilities and practices. The Nursing curriculum, in both theory and practice, pairs the use of technological advances with exploration of the ethical issues they raise. Your nursing courses are grouped, so you concurrently enroll in a theory course focused on understanding client conditions and needs, and a clinical course that integrates classroom work within the practice setting. Clinical nursing courses occur in a variety of health care agencies with a major focus on community-based nursing practice.
