Advising
A student adviser is an important member of the administrative
team at Brown Mackie College — South Bend. The advisor
works with students on academic issues, helping them develop
appropriate solutions to problems.
Tutoring
Tutoring is available to all students at Brown Mackie College
— South Bend. In fact, the class schedule is designed so
that Fridays are open and full-time faculty members are
available for tutoring sessions. Tutoring services are provided
at no charge to students. It’s one of the many ways Brown
Mackie supports our students’ pursuit of academic
success.
Career Services
Our students have consistent contact with our Office of Career
Services from day one. The career services staff works with
students to determine their areas of interest and employment
options. We offer workshops and training sessions to help
students develop job-seeking tools and skills, such as
preparing a resume, writing a cover letter, and practicing for
interviews. In addition, we work with students to develop a
clear understanding of professional behavior and what will be
expected of them in the workplace.

Practical Nursing - Diploma

The diploma program in Practical Nursing balances classroom
instruction with clinical experience. Students receive a solid
foundation in the areas of medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics,
obstetrics, geriatrics, and pharmacology. Graduates of this
program are qualified to pursue LPN State Board licensure.
