Diploma - Nursing

Would you like to be responsible for the basic bedside care of sick patients? The practical nurse program will provide you with the skills and training to oversee and manage the treatment of individuals. You will gain knowledge of basic nursing and patient care concepts in a classroom and clinical setting.

You will be trained to take vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration. You will observe patients and report adverse reactions to medications or treatments. You will also collect samples for testing, perform routine laboratory tests, feed patients, and record food and fluid intake.

There are an abundance of employment opportunities for practical nurses in nursing homes, doctors' offices, clinics, hospitals and private homes.
