Indiana Wesleyan’s College of Adult and Professional Studies (CAPS) serves the adult population with a variety of programs designed to meet the educational needs of specific adult audiences. Indiana Wesleyan University - Dayton understands the special requirements of adults who are interested in receiving an associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree, but who must also continue meeting their professional and personal commitments. The programs in the college are designed for those working adults by combining theory with practical experience.
The delivery format and curriculum structure are specifically designed for working adults. Undergraduate and graduate degree programs are conveniently offered through evening, Saturday and online (via the internet) classes. Classes are offered in both traditional classroom format as well as online unless otherwise noted.
Accreditation
Indiana Wesleyan University's program is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
The nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
RN to BS in Nursing Degree Completion
In the RNBS completion program, registered nurses join together in a cohort group and take all of their nursing major core classes together. The courses, or modules, are taken one at a time in sequence and the major can be completed in approximately nineteen months. The program is specifically designed for adult learners who prefer guided independent study, minimal lecturing, practical professional application and a colleague relationship with both faculty and fellow students.
