Indiana Wesleyan ’s College of Adult and Professional Studies (CAPS) serves the adult population with a variety of programs designed to meet the educational needs of specific adult audiences. Indiana Wesleyan University - Louisville understands the special requirements of adults who are interested in receiving an associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree, but who must also continue meeting their professional and personal commitments. The programs in the college are designed for those working adults by combining theory with practical experience.

The delivery format and curriculum structure are specifically designed for working adults. Undergraduate and graduate degree programs are conveniently offered through evening, Saturday and online (via the internet) classes. Classes are offered in both traditional classroom format as well as online unless otherwise noted.

Accreditation

Indiana Wesleyan University's program is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Registered Nursing BS Completion Program (RNBS)

In the RNBS completion program, registered nurses join together in a cohort group and take all of their nursing major core classes together. The courses or modules are taken one at a time in sequence and the major can be completed in approximately nineteen months. The program is specifically designed for adult learners who prefer guided independent study, minimal lecturing, practical professional application and a colleague relationship with both faculty and fellow students.

This program is offered both online and on-campus.

Because work demands placed on health care professionals are increasing, Indiana Wesleyan University's College of Graduate Studies strategically added online components to course offerings. Some graduate-level courses are offered in IWU's unique "EduFlex" format which blends online course work with your face-to-face learning. Generally, EduFlex courses cut the number of classroom-based sessions in half. For 100% online courses you will benefit from the ultimate in course accessibility and convenience by learning any place at any time.

IWU's Department of Graduate Studies in Nursing offers a Master of Science with majors in the following:

• Primary Care Nursing - Core courses (your first six courses) are provided via EduFlex. Practicum courses provided face-to-face. Concentrations in gerontological nurse practitioner or family nurse practitioner.
• Nursing Administration - Cores courses (your first eight courses) are provided via EduFlex. Remaining major courses are 100% online.
• Nursing Administration (Online) - All course work online.
• Nursing Education - Cores courses (your first eight courses) are provided via EduFlex. Remaining major courses are 100% online.
• Nursing Education (Online) - All course work online.

Practicum experiences for all degree programs may be arranged in a location of your choice, with faculty approval.
