Advance in your current career or open new career paths that utilize your nursing experience. Our online Master of Science in Nursing is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The program is grounded in the theme of Leadership in Nursing. Through our ground-breaking application of complex adaptive systems theory to the field of nursing, you will develop the skills needed for advanced nursing practice, teaching, management, and research. Theory and research in nursing and related fields are integrated to provide a broad base for advanced nursing practice. The Gonzaga University Online MSN features two concentrations:

MSN - Health Systems Leadership

Students gain knowledge and competency in financial and human capital management, as well as strategies for responding to the ethical and legal issues encountered in administrative roles.

MSN - Nurse Educator

Students develop an area of clinical specialization as well as skills in curriculum development, teaching-learning strategies, and evaluation. Particular emphasis is placed on tailoring content and presentation to learners' needs. Practicum experiences take place in a variety of educational settings.

RN to MSN (Online)

Nurses know that a Master of Science in Nursing can open up new career opportunities. Experienced registered nurses with an associate's degree in nursing (ADN) now have the opportunity to earn this advanced degree through Gonzaga University's online RN to MSN program.

The bridge program is designed to prepare students for graduate-level work and to succeed in fulfilling the demands and responsibilities of advanced and specialized roles in nursing. Students will study major research methods, pathophysiology and pharmacology, and systemic approaches to improving healthcare. Leadership topics are also integrated into the curriculum to develop students' professional skills.

Gonzaga's online RN to MSN program offers two areas of specialization, allowing for a wide variety of professional goals and interests:

  • Nurse Educator: Teach the next generation of nurses
  • Health Systems Leadership: Become a health care executive or the manager of a department or facility

A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is not required. Other unique benefits of Gonzaga's program include accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), a rolling admissions calendar, support to enhance writing skills, and the ability to transfer up to 20 percent of existing undergraduate or graduate credits (not including credits from a prior degree).
