All Global Campus courses are eight weeks long. Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Completion Program for RNs

If you're a registered nurse looking for more out of your career, advancing your education is essential. Now you can complete your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) primarily online through the University of Illinois at Chicago's top-ranked College of Nursing, through its partnership with The Global Campus.

Upon successful completion of all coursework, you will earn a fully accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of Nursing at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

The University of Illinois at Chicago BSN Degree Completion Program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

This program is for registered nurses who want to complete their BSN to prepare for leadership opportunities in their careers and to fulfill the academic requirements needed to continue into graduate studies in nursing.

Curriculum

The curriculum of the BSN Completion Program will consist of the following 8-week courses for a total of 30 credit hours.

• Health Assessment - 3 hours
• Concepts/Processes for Contemporary Nursing - 4 hours
• Introduction to Nursing Research/Statistics for Evidence-Based Practice - 4 hours
• Nursing Elective - 2 hours
• Nursing Leadership and Management in Health Care - 6 hours
• Nursing Elective - 3 hours
• Clinical Concepts/Processes in Population-Focused Nursing - 5 hours
• Issues in Nursing Practice - 3 hours

Admissions and Prerequisites

Admission to the BSN Completion Program for RNs requires a non-cumulative, non-nursing GPA of 2.5 as well as a natural science GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, from an accredited institution.

This program is a bachelor's degree completion program. Students must complete specific requirements in Liberal Arts and Sciences and National League of Nursing credits prior to enrolling.
