Concordia University Irvine

Founded in 1972, Concordia University Irvine (CUI) is a Christian liberal arts institution committed to developing the whole person, and preparing graduates to be wise, honorable and cultivated citizens. Concordia students learn how to overcome challenges, communicate clearly, understand various cultures, know the Christian faith and exercise servant leadership. CUI is defined by two overriding values: faithfulness and excellence in education.

The campus is situated on 70 acres atop a hillside overlooking the beautiful city of Irvine, California. Located in the heart of Orange County, Irvine is one of the most attractive and fastest growing areas in the nation, only minutes away from beaches, shops and outdoor activities.

Accreditation

Concordia University is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), 985 Atlantic Avenue, Suite 100, Alameda, CA 94501, (510) 748-9001. Students and other interested parties may review the WASC "Statement of Accreditation Status" for Concordia at the WASC website.

The WASC accreditation process aids institutions in developing and sustaining effective educational programs and assures the educational community, the general public and other organizations that an accredited institution has met high standards of quality and effectiveness.

The nursing program will seek accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) once nursing classes begin.
