Diploma - Patient Care Technician
The patient care technician program combines basic knowledge with applied skills mastered in the classroom and laboratory. Students will be trained to perform clinical skills such as blood collection, EKG's, catheterization, recording vital signs and patient treatments and other tasks related to patient care. Graduates of the patient care technician program can expect to find employment opportunities in hospitals, rehabilitation centers and placement agencies. Graduates will be certified in community CPR and first aid. Students will also be eligible to take certification exams to become certified as nursing assistants, EKG technicians and phlebotomy technicians.
