STVT is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Council on Occupational Education and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Accredited. Programs are VA approved for eligible veterans.

Diploma - Patient Care Technician

This program is designed to prepare students to meet the demands necessary for productive patient care technicians, multi-skilled nursing assistants or hospital unit clerks, and be employed in a hospital, nursing home, physician's office or other allied health settings. Students are trained to assist physicians and nurses in the examination and treatment of patients. Students will receive classroom lecture situations and laboratory practice and will ultimately be assigned into a clinical situation to apply acquired skills and knowledge in real life situations.

Students will receive training in the following:

• Medical administration and office administration procedures
• Medical anatomy
• Laboratory procedures
• Phlebotomy
• CPR and first aid
• Externships
