Practical Nursing - Diploma

Nuse in Scrubs

The Practical Nursing (PN) program teaches students to function as a member of a health care team. Practical Nurses exercise professional judgment based the on depth of their knowledge, skills and understanding of patients and diseases. These skills are achieved by actively engaging in classroom studies, laboratory practice, and actual hands-on experience at clinical sites. After 16 months in the MedVance nursing program, graduates are qualified to work as caregivers in a variety of settings such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and medical centers offering health care services to patients. The Practical Nursing program prepares students to take the practical nursing licensing examination. Nationally, there has long been an increasing need for Licensed Practical Nurses.

This program is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing.
