  • It enables them to meet requirement criteria when applying for advanced degrees

Plus, nursing and human resources hiring managers view accreditation as a quality stamp, so they prefer to hire workers with nursing degrees from accredited institutions. It's one way healthcare facilities can promise high standards to their constituents.

American Sentinel nursing students know that accreditation will take them places

"I work for the Federal Government and they will recognize a degree from a school that is accredited with either regional or CCNE accreditation in the field of nursing," said Ann Marie Flory, Master's of Science in Nursing student at American Sentinel University.

"The CCNE accreditation is a benchmark of excellence for the nursing programs. Should I decide to further my degree, i.e., DNP or a Ph.D., it will be necessary to show I graduated from a school with this accreditation."
