Santa Barbara Business College is one of the oldest colleges in California and the country.
The College was founded in 1888 as a California business college and normal institute. Normal institutes trained teachers at the turn of the 20th century. The primary curriculum focus throughout SBBC's long history has been business.
In recent years, curriculum offerings have expanded to include programs in Allied Health, Information Technology, Paralegal and Criminal Justice in addition to the traditional Business offerings. Santa Barbara Business College also offers Associate degrees to enrich the learning experience and increase lifelong earning potential. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, individuals who have earned an Associate degree will earn on average 30 percent more than those individuals with only a high school diploma or GED.

Vocational Nursing - Diploma
The nursing profession is experiencing growth due to aging populations and long-term care needs. You can prepare to be a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the Vocational Nursing program at Santa Barbara Business College!
Students gain the hands-on nursing skills needed to succeed as Licensed Vocational Nurses in various healthcare facilities, ranging from physicians' offices to outpatient care facilities to long-term care centers. Vital signs assessment, medication administration and other patient care skills are taught in a clinical setting.
Santa Barbara Business College graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical/Vocational Nurses (NCLEX-PN) after just 60 weeks!
