In our programs, you gain the knowledge, skills and ability to prepare you to be a confident and competent professional nurse. Our curriculum focuses on developing critical thinking, technical knowledge and practical application. Throughout your education at Baker, you will have numerous opportunities to practice what you learn in the classroom. We combine theory with hands-on experience through a series of clinicals in a real-life setting. By the time you leave Baker, you will have observed the workings of various health-care settings, providing you with a practical knowledge of nursing and insight into your nursing aspirations. We are fortunate to offer clinical learning opportunities at the facilities at Stormont-Vail HealthCare, a nationally recognized integrated acute health care center dedicated to providing in and out-patient treatment services. Recently honored for their excellence in nursing services by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Magnet Recognition Program, our Stormont-Vail partners provide Baker nursing students with immersion in state-of- the-art patient care facilities.
